Adding Customised References to your Tributes

Customised reference fields allow you to add data to your tributes, such as the unique identifier of the deceased from your CRM system, or the code of their local branch of your charity.

There are 16 customised reference fields:

• 4 Tribute references - displayed in the 'Settings' of a tribute and in the download of the Tribute, Donor and Event reports.
• 4 Fundraising references - displayed in the 'Settings' of a tribute and in the download of the Tribute, Donor and Event reports.
• 4 Event references - displayed in the 'Details' page of an event and in the download of the Donor and Event reports.
• 4 User references - displayed in the 'Your Users' page of your Partner Area and in the download of Tribute, Donor and Event reports.

To set-up your references fields, first of all you will need to give a name to the information that you will be adding. This example shows the steps to rename your Tribute Reference fields; the same steps apply to the other categories of reference fields.

Step 1: Click on the 'Manage' menu in the gold navigation bar of your Partner Area and select 'Customise References'.

Step 2: Click on the 'Edit' button for the group of references that you would like to rename.

Step 3: Add a name for the field that describes the information that it will be used to capture. This could be a field from your CRM, a product code, branch reference etc. Click 'Save Changes'.

Step 4: Go back to the list of tributes on your Partner Area homepage and click the 'Settings' button for one of your tributes. Scroll down the list of settings for the tribute until you reach the references section. You will see that the names of the fields have been updated to the titles that you entered earlier.

To input data into these fields, click the 'Edit' button.

Step 5: Add your information and click the 'Save Changes' button.

Step 6: To view the information in your report downloads, select the Tribute Report and go to the Export Options at the foot of the report. You will see that the field names that you have chosen are now shown in the list of fields for download. Ensure the reference fields are ticked and then click the green CSV download button to access your report.
